Swollen Head Syndrome

Synonyms: Facial cellulitis, thick head, Dikkop, SHS Species affected: Chickens and turkeys are the known natural hosts. Experimentally, guinea fowl and pheasants are susceptible but pigeons, ducks, and geese are resistant to the infection.
