How to take proper pictures of the feet for HVC help:
• Feet should be completely clean and picked out.
• Horse should be standing on a flat surface with no obstruction (grass, dirt mounds, etc) surrounding the feet.
• Stand the horse as square as possible.
• Take pictures with the camera ON THE GROUND – NO AIMING DOWN.
• Sunlight should come from behind the photographer. No shadows or areas of darkness on the feet.
• The series should include: Lateral, medial, front and back, and ground surface photos. Include up to the fetlock, but no higher.
